Lola’s is a generational family recipe hot sauce from Carmelita Shah also known as “Lola” who’s an immigrant doctor from the Philippines that came to take care of local farmers in the Midwest during the 1980’s. Lola’s has been in our family forever and has been passed down to her children and eventually their children hence the name Lola. Lola, means Grandma in Tagalog the language of the Philippines and is truly a name sake and the focus of our family brand.
Taufeek, Lola’s son and founder – found some bottles of his mom’s hot sauce back in 2016 and brought them into a food day at work and everyone thought it was the best hot sauce they had. Shortly afterwards Taufeek and Lola would spend weekends making hot sauce in Lola’s kitchen and sell them at Farmer’s Markets. Fast forward to 2023, Lola’s is now a national hot sauce brand featuring family flavors in multiple categories. Something truly delicious and divine featuring #flavorfirst hot sauces utilizing the world’s hottest peppers for great flavor.
Lola’s is all natural and uses the world’s hottest peppers for great flavors across various gourmet hot sauces, salsas, and mixers.
SEG is a staple name and always our go-to grocer down in Florida. Now that Lola is retired, she’s moved to Florida and does all her shopping and connects with the community through food and different events. The love SEG has for its customers, partners, manufacturers, and their amazing initiatives helping family brands get to the masses through supplier diversity makes this a win/win. The best part of our partnership with SEG is the collaboration.

What is Japanese Barbecue Sauce?
This is the exact question that gets customers to pick up our bottle off the shelf or piques their interest online. Japanese BBQ Sauce is precisely what it sounds like—it’s the sauce that people use to barbecue with in Japan. There are many different flavors of barbecue sauces in the US, but in Japan it’s all about Umami. We are honored and excited to be the FIRST and ONLY Japanese BBQ Sauce in the country.
So Much More Than Just a Barbecue Sauce.
Bachan’s can be used as a marinade, finishing sauce, dipping sauce, stir-fry sauce, and some of our customers even use it as a salad dressing! One of the best parts of bringing Bachan’s to market has been hearing all the different ways our customers are using Bachan’
Small Batch, Non-Gmo Certified, BPA Free, Preservative Free and Cold Filled.

Annie Broad is the Asian-American Founder of Gimme, founded in 2012, serving as Chief Product & Creative Officer. [She] identified an opportunity to reposition seaweed as a snack to entice American consumers. Her vision led to the development of the world’s first line of Organic, non-GMO seaweed snacks. Gimme is now the number #1 seaweed brand in the US with 35% share of the category…3x the sales of the next competitor.
Our SEG category manager saw the demand for seaweed and to carry the top brand in that space. This gave us at Gimme a good starting point to work towards building the right program for SEG that was also attainable for the Gimme brand.
