Low Country Shrimp Boil

Your friends and family will love this easy-to-make favorite. Just follow the directions below.


  • 1 box Zatarain's Crab Boil Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup OLD BAY® Seasoning
  • 4 lbs baby red potatoes, halved
  • 2 lbs smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 10 ears of corn, halved
  • 1 large vidalia onion, quartered
  • One 12 oz can or bottle of domestic beer (optional)
  • 4 lb medium to large raw shrimp, in the shell
  • Cocktail Sauce
  • Italian Bread
  • Butter
  • Fill large stockpot 1/2 full with water.
  • Add crab boil seasoning, 1/2 cup of OLD BAY®, potatoes, lemon, onion and sausage.
  • Bring to a boil. Should take about 15-20 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, add corn.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, then add beer (optional) and shrimp.
  • Cook about 3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink.
  • Drain and dump contents in the center of a paper-covered picnic table. (Contents of pot can also be divided into several large bowls or buckets.)
  • Sprinkle additional OLD BAY®over the top for finger-licking flavor.
  • Serve with warm bread, melted butter and cocktail sauce.
