
Beef Tacos with a Kick
For the filling
- 1 lb. Winn-Dixie brand 85% lean fresh ground beef
- 1 oz. taco seasoning mix
- 8 oz. onion, minced
For the shell
- 8-12 taco shells, lightly warmed
Suggested toppings (all to taste)
- SE Grocers medium salsa
- SE Grocers sour cream
- SE Grocers chunk Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- Fresh jalapeño, thinly sliced and de-seeded
- Iceberg lettuce, shredded
- Heat pan over medium-high heat and add beef and onion. Cook until browned, then drain the fat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add taco seasoning to drained beef, stir and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove beef from heat; divide evenly among taco shells.
- Top with lettuce, salsa, cheese, jalapeño and sour cream as desired.
