Tropical Fruit

Once rare on American tables, exotic fruits from the tropics are now mainstream. Choose them for their flavor, fragrance and potent antioxidant benefits.

Green Kiwifruit

A tropical blend of tangy and sweet. For an easy snack, slice in half and scoop out with spoon. Adds taste and color to fruit salads, salsas, and seafood dishes. Puree for smoothies and mixed drinks.

Guava

Tropical blend of pear, mango and strawberry flavors with a sweet, musky fragrance. Peel and eat raw. Also delicious as juice or an ingredient in desserts, jellies and fruit salads. Seeds and rind are edible. Do not store in refrigerator.

Ataulfo Mango

Sometimes called a honey mango, flesh is soft, string-free and very sweet Delicious in salads, salsas and chutney. Puree for smoothies and mixed drinks. Do not refrigerate.

Cherimoya

Sweet tropical blend of banana, pineapple and strawberry flavors with a soft, sherbet-like consistency. Delicious in fruit salads, sherbet and ice cream.

Pomegranate

​Juicy with a blended sweet and tart flavor. Eat seeds straight from fruit or extract juice by whirling in blender, then straining. Can add sweetener. High in antioxidants.

Passion Fruit

Musky, guava-like, slightly tangy flavor. Remove seedy pulp and boil flesh down to a syrup. Use to make sauce, desserts, ice cream, sherbets, etc. Combine with pineapple or tomatoes to make jam.

Pepino Melon

Fragrant blend of cantaloupe and honeydew flavors. Peel first, then cube or slice. Can be used in spinach salads, fruit medleys or as a snack.
