Work is fun when you know what’s expected and how to succeed. Winn-Dixie’s award-winning training programs help Store Associates perform to high standards and take pride in their work. We use proven techniques to help participants learn at their own pace and retain what they’re taught. Tools include targeted training videos, interactive online learning modules, and blended learning experiences that may include computer-based teaching, classroom discussion groups, role-playing, worksheets, experiential opportunities and more. Learning modules are designed to keep participants engaged. For example, to help enhance customer engagement skills, we tasked Meat Department Associates to come up with an easy main-dish recipe that they could share with customers in 30 seconds or less. And to ensure that food handlers were up to speed on the latest food safety practices, we crafted interactive exercises that turned them into inspectors.
Our Training Department is at the forefront of our efforts to enhance satisfaction on the job and create clear-cut paths to rewarding careers at Winn-Dixie.
