PUBLIC NOTICE: August 16, 2010

Veron Foods LLC is issuing a voluntary recall of its Martin’s and Veron products because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

There is evidence that a sample of the Veron hog head cheese was found to be contaminated. Out of concern for possible cross contamination There is no evidence of contamination in any other Veron or Martin products. Listeria pathogens are killed by normal food pasteurization and cooking processes. However, we are exercising an abundance of caution against possible cross contamination between products.

Veron Foods is recalling the following products.

  Veron Smoked Sausage All Sizes Hot and Mild
  Martin Smoked Sausage All Sizes Hot and Mild
  Veron Andouille Sausage All Sizes  
  Martin Andouille Sausage    
  Veron Hog Head Cheese All Sizes Hot and Mild
